Squarelly

For property owners

List your property free. Only serious renters get in touch.

Every renter who contacts you has verified a payment card and agreed to a contact fee — so the enquiries that reach you are from people who mean it. You see who's asking before you answer, and you pay nothing.

  • Verified card on every enquiry
  • Every listing checked
  • Signed ownership declaration

How it works

From sign-up to your first conversation

  1. Step 1

    Verify your identity

Once, before your first listing. It takes a photo of your ID, and it's what lets renters trust that you own what you're listing.

  2. Step 2

    Create your listing

One screen at a time: details, photos, a description, an optional 360° tour. We write the title for you.

  3. Step 3

    Go live

Sign the ownership declaration with your verified name. Every listing is checked before it appears.

  4. Step 4

    Requests arrive

Each one shows you who's asking.

  5. Step 5

    Confirm and connect

Tell us it’s available and the renter receives your first name, the address and your email. Then talk directly.

Know who's asking

See who's asking — before you answer

A request isn't just a name and a message. Before you reply, you see the renter's:

  • Tenant type — professional, student, family, and so on
  • Household size
  • Nationality
  • Whether they have pets
  • Compatibility score — how well they match the tenant preferences you set

So you can tell straight away whether it's worth a conversation.

You stay in control

You decide when to go ahead

When someone asks about your property, you answer first. Nobody is charged until you have.

Say it's available, and the renter pays the contact fee and receives your first name, the property's address and your email. Until then, all three stay private.

Your phone number is never shared automatically — it's up to you if and when you're comfortable giving it out.

Setting tenant preferences and house rules

Your ideal tenant

Say who you’re looking for, and renters see how closely they match before they get in touch.

Visibility

Shown when it matters

Your listing appears in search once it's close to being free — you choose how early, up to six months ahead.

Until then it stays private. You don't field enquiries you can't act on yet, and your current tenant's home isn't advertised while they're still living in it.

Once it's rented

Keeps itself up to date

Let us know when the property is rented and when it will be free again. Then we take it from there. If the date passes, your listing shows as available again on its own. Tenant staying on? Push the date back and it goes quiet until it's relevant.

Track how many people view your listing and how many get in touch, day by day. Plenty of views but few enquiries usually means the photos or price need another look.

FAQ

Questions owners ask

Is it really free?

Yes. There's no charge to owners for listing, photos, tours, messaging or analytics. The renter pays a contact fee, and only after you've answered.

Why do renters pay to contact me?

It keeps enquiries serious. A renter who's verified a card and agreed to a fee is far more likely to follow through than one sending a free message to twenty listings.

Do I need to verify my identity?

Yes, once, before your first listing. Your verified name is what you sign the ownership declaration with, and it's part of what lets renters trust the listing is genuine.

What if it's not available when someone asks?

Just say so. You answer before anyone is charged.

Who writes the listing title?

We do, from the details you enter — so every listing is clear, consistent and easy to find.

Can I change my listing after it’s live?

Yes, any time.

What happens when my tenant's contract is ending?

We'll remind you three months out, again at two months, and a week before. If the date passes without a change, your listing shows as available again on its own.

Ready when you are.

It's free to list, and you only hear from people who mean it.
